Hin Areni
The story of Hin Areni is rooted in Vayots Dzor, the millennial cradle of Armenian winemaking, and particularly in the village of Areni, where the world’s oldest known winery was discovered. Here unfolds the force of a millennial terroir, shaped by centuries of tradition and an exceptional natural environment.
Founded in 2013 near the Areni-1 Cave and fully modernized in 2023, the winery has become one of the leading estates and wine tourism centers in the region.
Today, it cultivates 32 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 1,250 meters above sea level, including 5 hectares dedicated to organic farming, reflecting its commitment to sustainable viticulture.
The mineral-rich volcanic soils, combined with the high-altitude climate and more than 300 days of sunshine per year, give the wines structure, depth and remarkable aromatic expression.
Planted mainly on hillsides, the vines benefit from optimal sun exposure and natural drainage, ensuring exceptional harvest quality.
Crafted exclusively from grapes grown in its own estate vineyards, Hin Areni wines highlight the iconic Armenian grape varieties Areni Noir and Voskehat.
Through them, the winery embodies the harmonious union of ancestral traditions and modern expertise.
